Learn to Grow

Much like you have to attend your lectures in thermodynamics and hydraulics and a lot other stuffs in college before you can become an engineer, you have to learn how to become successful before you can become successful.

Common sense, isn't it? If you wanna be good at something, then you gotta learn that something, right?

Would you be good in engineering if you had registered yourself for the course, and then you don't attend the lectures or commit to library sessions on your own?

First you learn, and then you do it.

Can you become a good engineer if you don't actually have hands on experience with engines? Can you just read or attend lectures and hope to become an engineer if you don't attend the practical sessions?

Similarly, success is a science that you need to learn, and then actually do and apply the methods to yourself. One of the success principles that Dale Carnegie puts forth in his book "How to Win Friends and Influence People" is to smile. Yeah. Easy. Just smile to everybody you meet.

However, if you just read about it but you ain't doin' it, you gonna get nowhere.

So, learn to grow. Whether you like it or not, you're gonna grow anyway. But you decide if you're gonna grow positively, or do you wanna grow yourself into old age with your life's baggages rooting you to the ground?
