Success Is Being Consistent

I hung out with an Eilham member yesterday, Yazid, and he happens to be quite successful even before he joined the programme. While we were having our lunch, I had asked what he did to live his easygoing life today.

Amazingly, he did the same simple stuffs we have heard so much about:

1. He talked to a lot of people;

2. He wrote a lot of e-mails to a lot of people;

3. He SMSed to a lot of people;

4. He set up websites to promote his business to a lot of people; and

5. He advertised in newspaper to catch the attention of a lot of people.

But the key difference between him and us - he did all those things EVERYDAY.

He also advised - you don't need to be complicated or smart to earn a magnificent life. He's a simple guy, just like the rest of us.

I asked if if he ever found it tiring.

He told me that if he were to work in a job, he would have to do the same things. Only, if he did all those things for his employer, he would still be earning less than RM5,000 a months, instead of his current more than RM20,000 a month.

Besides, he added, the 5 things above do not take so much time, if you really get down to it. Those things, which he still does now out of habit, only takes him about 2 to 3 hours a day - a whopping discount from the conventional 8 hours daily of office life.
