Travel The Miles

A call came, from a new member who needs my help to show the Eilham Technopreneurs Development Programme to a couple of business owners in Kapar.

Kapar?

I've never been there. And from my asking around, it's somewhere past Klang.

It's far. I will have to drive past several tolls, and the mileage itself would cost me more than RM10 one way. Roughly, I would be spending more than RM20 going there and coming back home in Putrajaya. And IF the 2 business owners sign up, I'd make RM2.50 x 2 = RM5.

Does it make sense?

Maybe you'd think, "Nope... why spend RM20 or more to make RM5? Are you nuts?"

Ok... let's look at it from another point of view: what if the 2 were going to build my business to the hundreds of thousands? Or what if the 2 were going to lead me to someone who will lead me to another one who will build the programme to worth hundreds of thousands to me?

So the real question is: would I risk losing RM20+, or would I risk losing hundreds of thousands of RM?

Would you travel the miles to find your Diamond, or would you just dismiss those who would seem to cost more than they can actually make you that instant?
