Eilham Technopreneurs: Make Money Through Print Design

The Eilham Technopreneurs Development Programme (ETDP) can make a substantial amount of money even with the most basic product it offers - the Print Design business model.

Everyone can relate to the printing business - company brochures, corporate profiles, letterheads, as well as wedding invitations, menus, etc. So, print design is for everybody. In ETDP, you can actually make money from getting people to do print with you ("Hey... my son is getting married in 2 months. You can make the wedding invitation card aah?"), and the Eilham team can support you in terms of coming up with the design, as well as putting in the design into the printing template. The Eilham team will also expose to you the printing factory itself, and also the cost of productions.

If you can do the design and putting in the template yourself, you can take all the profits. We'll just be happy to tell you how you can calculate your cost-vs-profit of your print project, and we'll just let you know where to get the best price so that you can make HUGE profits (like where to get the best looking wedding card which standard price is RM1.50 a piece at RM0.42 a piece, inclusive of the envelope).

If you can find the business but you need the Eilham team's expertise for the design and/or putting it in the template for printing, you can always use a profit sharing model.

For example:

You get some people that you know to order their wedding invitation cards (entice them with the Eilham team's designs as found in the Brochure 08 and Demo CD 08). Easily wedding cards can be charged at RM0.70 to RM1.80 a piece if ordered in 200 to 500 copies. In ETDP, the best of wedding cards can have a cost of only RM0.42, and thus the profit would be from RM0.28 to RM1.38. For every 200 cards ordered, the profit will be RM56 to RM276. Split this 50-50 with the Eilham team (if you JV with us), you make RM28 to RM138 per 200 copies.

In 12 months of this programme, how many people do you know who are going to get married? If you know 5 people, you could make up to RM690!!!

Or,

You can get a government department to engage you to design and print 1,000 copies of an awareness campaign brochure. If the brochure is sized at A5 and has 20 pages, the cost to print such a brochure is RM2.00 each for a 1,000 copies order. With Eilham's design, it is very easy to sell to the client RM5 to RM8 per brochure - this means a profit of RM3 to RM6 per brochure. In 1,000 copies, this translates into a profit of RM3,000 to RM8,000. Split it 50-50 with Designel Media, you would make a profit of RM1,500 to RM4,000 on this project alone!

Further imagine if the department wants to print 10,000 copies of the brochure to distribute it to the other departments (which is a normal activity for government agencies). If you make RM1,500 per 1,000 copies... 10,000 copies will earn you RM15,000!

And what if the brochure is for public awareness, and you get 10,000 orders PER MONTH?

And what if the same department likes the brochure very much, and wants you to provide them another set of brochures for another public awareness campaign? (In case you don't know, this can mean a second income stream of another RM15,000 a month for you)
